2 Hour Trip - The Monument Memory

Leave the stable, ride across the horse paddock around the bluff opposite the irrigation intake. Leaving the Hurunui River behind us, we zig-zag our way up to Stoney Face Saddle, on up the ridge to the summit and view the splendour of the Hurunui Plain, Balmoral Forest, Amuri Basin and Banks Peninsula to the far south. Riding along the ridge past Monument Rock, we descend down the slope, past deer paddocks, leaving behind the magnificent scenery as we return to the stable.
